I wrote this song about 12 years ago because of all the shootings in Chicago. I had got to a point of asking myself is there no remedy, it was then that I remembered God's word that reads from the KJV in the book of Jeremiah 8:22, Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of the daughter of my people not been restored? The answer to that is because many do not know God, or have not accepted his son Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Great Physician the Balm that still heals.
